The story of the woman behind SIKAR by Grenash
I didn’t set out to create a cigar lifestyle brand.
Honestly… I think the brand found me.
Before there was a logo, a collection, or even a sketch, there was family… and a whole lot of creativity that I didn’t realize was being passed down to me.
On my father’s side, design was just part of who they were. My grandparents worked with their hands and their imagination. Interior design… automobile upholstery… fashion. They could look at something ordinary and see what it could become.
My grandmother was a fashion designer… she just didn’t know it.
She had that eye. She understood clothes, details, proportions, and how something could completely change the way you felt. Looking back, I realize she was teaching me things that I wouldn’t understand until much later.
Then there was my mother’s side.
My grandmother was a DIVA… and I mean that in the best way possible. 😂 She loved fashion. She loved clothes. She loved looking good. She was a fashion junkie before “fashion junkie” was even a thing.
And then there was my grandfather…
He loved cigars.
He would leave cigar butts everywhere. 😂 Back then, they were just cigar butts.
Now I look at them differently.
Because somewhere between the fashion, the design, the diva, and the cigars… there was a story being written.
I just didn’t know I was going to be the one to tell it.
The smoke was already there…
So was the fashion.
So was the design.
I just hadn’t connected the dots yet.
THEN THERE WAS ME…
My life has never really fit into one box.
I’m a designer… but I’m also a mom. I’ve worked in professional environments where structure, responsibility, problem solving, and people matter. I understand business. I understand numbers. I understand what it means to have responsibilities outside of your dreams.
But there has always been this creative side of me that refused to be quiet.
I’ve always wanted to create.
Not just something pretty…
Something that means something.
Something that makes you feel something when you see it.
That’s where SIKAR came in.
WHY CIGARS?
For me, cigars have never just been about smoking.
It’s the whole experience.
The ritual…
The patience…
The conversation…
The confidence…
The craftsmanship…
The pause.
There’s something about sitting down with a cigar that makes you slow down and actually be present in the moment.
And honestly… fashion can do the same thing.
You put on that one piece that just feels different and suddenly your whole energy changes.
Your shoulders sit a little higher.
Your walk changes.
Your confidence changes.
You feel like you… just turned all the way up.
That’s what I wanted SIKAR to feel like.
I didn’t want to make clothes with a cigar slapped on them.
I wanted to create fashion for people who understand the culture behind the cigar…
The lifestyle…
The conversations…
The confidence…
The little details.
People who know that sometimes the smallest detail can say the most.
SO I CREATED SIKAR…
SIKAR was born where my worlds finally collided.
Fashion…
Design…
Family…
Cigars…
Luxury…
And a little bit of my own attitude.
I wanted to create something that could live in different parts of your life.
At home…
Out in the world…
And in the cigar lounge.
That’s where Lounge. Life. Elevated. comes from.
Because you shouldn’t have to change who you are just because the setting changes.
Your style should move with you.
Your confidence should move with you.
Your standard should move with you.
MY HERITAGE… MY STORY… MY SIKAR
When I look at SIKAR now, I see my family everywhere.
I see my father’s parents turning interiors, automobiles, and fashion into something beautiful.
I see my grandmother designing fashion before she ever realized she was a designer.
I see my mother’s mother being the diva she was… teaching me that fashion isn’t just about what you wear. It’s about how you show up.
And then I see my grandfather with his cigar…
Leaving those little cigar butts everywhere.
Funny how something that used to annoy you can become part of the story you eventually tell.
Maybe those weren’t just cigar butts.
Maybe they were breadcrumbs.
Because somehow… all of those pieces led me here.
To becoming The Smoking Designer.
To creating a brand that feels like me.
A little luxurious…
A little rebellious…
A little feminine…
A little bossy…
A little smoky.
And completely intentional.
THE FIRST LIGHT…
SIKAR is more than a fashion line to me.
It’s my way of taking everything I inherited… everything I’ve experienced… everything I love… and turning it into something of my own.
My grandparents gave me the design language…
My family gave me the fashion influence…
My grandfather gave me the smoke…
Life gave me the lessons…
And fashion gave me the canvas.
I just decided to put it all together.
That’s SIKAR by Grenash.
It’s heritage with a little edge.
It’s fashion with a little smoke.
It’s luxury without having to explain itself.
And most importantly…
It’s mine.
Because the smoke may disappear…
But the impression it leaves behind?
That’s another story.
The smoke flows… The standard stays.
